June 21, 2010 - PRLog -- Now that the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ is in full swing, women up and down the country are becoming World Cup widows. Neglected by their other halves in favour of the action in South Africa, frustrated WAGs have been submitting their top World Cup avoiding activities to the Continental Diamond Directory (http://www.discoveradiamond.co.uk) in the hope of winning the top prize of a diamond worth £8,500.

An Official Sponsor of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™, Continental Tyres is compiling the ‘Diamond Directory’ - a crowd-sourced database of recommendations for alternative activities to help those who would rather avoid football.

Since launching earlier this month, the directory has already received well over 600 entries, with eating out being by far the most popular World Cup avoiding activity.

The Hungry Horse in Kilmarnock, Scotland, has established itself as the most popular of the ‘eating out’ category, while the website Gifttaplant has been the most popular activity for World Cup Widows so far overall. Other popular entries are Interflora and simply having “a good long bath” in your own house.
