The dogs are excited at Animal Action Rescue in Atlanta, Georgia. Barbara Barth, author of "The Unfaithful Widow", is responding to a plea for help to raise funds for this local animal shelter. All proceeds from this event will be donated to Animal Action Rescue.
Barbara Barth is hosting a book signing silent auction charity event for Animal Action Rescue this Saturday, June 26th, at Heartfield Manor Bed And Breakfast in the historic neighborhood of Inman Park. After the Civil War, Inman Park became Atlanta’s first planned community and one of the nation’s first garden suburbs. Sandra Heartfield ,owner of the bed and breakfast, has donated her home for this event.
Food is being catered by Chef Phil Scales. Music by Larry Joe Hall. $5 cover charge at door. Space is limited so reservations are required. Contact for reservations at 404-377-1000. Event runs from 7PM to 10PM. Silent Auction closes at 9:30 and winners will be announced.

Southern author Terry Kay's autographed manuscript copy of his upcoming book due out next Spring, "Bogmeadow's Wish", a romance set in Ireland. Several of Terry Kay's books became Hallmark Movies, including "To Dance With the White Dog."
Signed Hardcover Edition No. 59 of 80 of Philip Nutman's book "Cities Of The Night". Philip Nutman is an Atlanta author who specializes in Horror and teaches screenplay writing. He was nominated for a Bram Stoker Award by the Horror Writers of America.

Various local businesses are donating gift certifcates, yoga lessons, and photography sessions.
Barbara Barth is a Decatur, Georgia, author. Her memoir, "The Unfaithful Widow", is a series of essays on her first year alone. No subject is taboo. The book is candid, touching and humorous. Rescue dogs were part of her healing process and she has become an advocate for animal rescue groups.
