It’s not easy being green! That’s why the development of a world-class lithium project is so vital to the U.S.’s green energy legislation and long-term energy policies, which depend on a vibrant domestic lithium-ion battery manufacturing sector.

Developing that project is the prime objective of American Lithium Minerals. a U.S.-based mineral exploration company focused on the development of lithium and boron resources in Nevada. Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC) have agreed to invest $4,000,000 in the Borate Hills Project to be a Joint Venture Partner in the Project. The JOGMEC investment will be instrumental in advancing the Borate Hills Project through the economic pre-feasibility stage.

As a result of lithium-ion battery demand for hybrid-electric and electric cars, the increase in demand for lithium carbonate is expected to increase four-fold over the next decade. American Lithium Minerals is focused on developing a world-class lithium project to help propagate the U.S.’s green energy legislation and long-term energy policies.

JOGMEC’s investment in American Lithium also recognizes the potential southwest Nevada has to produce lithium. JOGMEC has previously obtained most of its lithium from South America. The future looks bright for these two companies it'd be very wise to keep a close eye on them to see where it goes. And if the US goes in the direction of an alternative energy source, their claims could become very valuable.
