Owner Mark Weber comes with vast knowledge and experience in the camping industry. For the past eight years he has owned and has run over six different campgrounds and resorts in Minnesota and currently is invested with Pine Haven Resort on Black-Water Lake in Longville MN and Cokato RV Resort on Cokato Lake in Minnesota. Mark knows what it takes to bring tourism into a northern destination. “I’m not afraid to make investments and improvements to bring revenue up for the campground and community.” Mark stated. “I am definitely planning on adding more amenities and activities to make stays here more enjoyable for our guests.” “We are in this for the long haul and want Hi-Pines to be a top pick for campgrounds in the Eagle River Area.”
Hi-Pines Campground is now in its sixth season with 150 sites so far. The campground features a large snack bar, firewood, ice, large entertainment patio, coffee nook, gift shop, laundry room and arcade. Guests and public are welcomed to come down to our clubhouse to enjoy homemade pizzas, sit at the bar, or get a scoop of ice cream with 16 flavors of Kemps to choose from. For outdoor recreation, take a walk or bike ride around the grounds on our gravel trails, play a game of volleyball, horseshoe or just read a book by sand and water.
With new ownership at Hi-Pines, has brought many new improvements which our campers are very excited to see. A beautiful large water fountain and two new paddleboats have been added for guests to use at the pond. The playground area has been upgraded and has a new basketball court. The free wi-fi system is being upgraded and air conditioning is being installed in the clubhouse this month. Three wheel cycles will be here in a few weeks for people to rent out. Within a couple of weeks the Campground will have 33 brand new state-of-the art seasonal campsites including metered 50 amp, water & sewer all located in the forest. Plans for the future include an outdoor heated pool, splashpark and a pavilion building for special events.
Summer at Hi-Pines also brings events into the campground. Beer Fest is still held the second week of June. Once again the City Fire Department of Eagle River will put on another great Fireworks display this July 4th which falls on a Sunday night. Public is invited in and can bring blankets and lawn chairs but no coolers please. We will be selling, beer, soda, pizzas, pizza by the slice and other snacks along with scooped ice cream. Art Anderson will be holding his fishing programs free for all to attend every Tuesday Night starting at 6pm.
