The former Director of the Women Into Science and Engineering Campaign (WISE), Dr Marie-Noëlle Barton MBE, will make the key note speech at The Kingsley School Prize-Giving ceremony on July 8th.
In this role she has worked closely with business, government and professional bodies to help build and develop diverse workforces and promote the cause of women in the traditionally male-dominated world of Science and Engineering.
She has given evidence to the Science and Technology Select Committees of the House of Commons and the House of Lords on topics relating to women working in science and engineering, is co-author of a handbook, Engineering Equals and has sat on various committees including the Stewart Committee - which looked at the safety of mobile phones. She has received two Honorary Doctorates of Technology from the University of Staffordshire and Cardiff University and was a judge for the 2005 and 2006 Great Britons Awards.
A motivational speaker for over 20 years, Marie-Noëlle Barton has appeared at numerous conferences and events in the UK and abroad and she is renowned for inspiring her audiences.
