Cláudia Schwartz Receives Exemplary HR Professional Award

San Diego, CA Human Resources consultant and UCSD HR Leadership Program Director Cláudia Schwartz will receive the Exemplary HR Professional Award at 4-7 p.m. on June 17 at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel.  The event is presented by the San Diego Business Journal and sponsored by organizations including the San Diego HR Roundtable and National HR Association.

The event recognizes the most outstanding Human Resources professionals who work in San Diego, as nominated by their own colleagues, employees, and clients.  In addition to the Exemplary and Lifetime Awards, an independent panel of judges will select finalists in the categories of public company, private company, non-profit organization and government agency.

Cláudia Schwartz held senior HR management positions at companies with up to 10,000 employees across industries for 18 years. Since 1998, Cláudia has been the Founding Principal of HR Results (http://www.hrresults.com), which provides consulting in all areas of Human Resources to prevent liability while creating business assets.  She has authored turn-key tools to build and enhance HR in companies.

Committed to the growth of HR professionals in San Diego, Cláudia is the Director of UCSD's HR Leadership Program (http://extension.ucsd.edu/studyarea/index.cfm?vAction=si ...) and teaches the employment law review course of the UCSD Extension HR Certificate Program.  She also leads professional development programs that feature best business practices, such as the UCSD HR LearnAbout, a day-long bus trip to three local companies where executives and HR leaders share their innovative practices.

Cláudia Schwartz is an expert witness in employment litigation and conducts workplace investigations.  She has been the court-appointed EEOC Consent Decree Consultant in a $47 million discrimination and sexual harassment class action settlement.  Cláudia helps companies prevent employment litigation, and she offers harassment training.

To contribute to the success of companies and professionals across the U.S., Cláudia is a nationwide speaker at groups of CEO's (including Vistage), at HR conferences (including SHRM’s), and at professional associations (including NHRA, PIHRA, NCPA, SHRM, and BEDC).
