Natural Cosmetics Beyond Organic

These natural cosmetics use only organic or wildcrafted ingredients-ingredients that grow naturally in the wild and harvested by Afterglow. Afterglow's natural cosmetics use only natural ingredients that are non-allergenic and non-toxic. All ingredients are listed on the packaging for customers to know the exact contents. The suite of natural cosmetics for the face, eyes and lips, promises contents of all natural ingredients. These natural cosmetics contain no talc, gluten, mercury, mineral oil or petrochemicals.  The use of organic ingredients in the natural cosmetics range means the exclusive use of pharmaceutical grade minerals and certified organic botanicals. Afterglow's formulation also keeps the product range green by excluding any use of common irritants, known allergens and chemical preservatives.


Additionally, Afterglow guarantees all products free from bismuth oxychloride-the main irritant found in many other mineral cosmetics, often attributed to causing rashes, itching and cystic acne. Afterglow also guarantees the range free from Parabens-a family of synthetic preservatives.


Most of the organic material used in all Afterglow natural cosmetics are certified organic by the USDA. This, however, does not imply that there are some ingredients which are not organic. There are certain ingredients Afterglow uses such as Candelilla wax and algae which are not farmed.  When it is not farmed it cannot attract USDA certification. However Candelilla wax and algae are harvested from the forests and the ocean.  When it is harvested from the wild it is termed wildcraft.


Following FDA strict guidelines, it is still legal to omit ingredients which constitute less than 1% of of any formulation. Afterglow, however, goes above and beyond this requirement and lists every single ingredient regardless of its quantity. This is because Afterglow wants women to know exactly what they apply on their face, eyes and lips.


Ingredients such as organic grape seed extract, organic beeswax, organic lavender flower oil, organic jojoba seed extract, organic aloe vera, organic grape seed extract and organic apricot kernel are some of the ingredients used in Afterglow's natural cosmetic line.


This suite of natural cosmetics also has a feature not shared by other mineral cosmetics. All Afterglow products are triple milled to ensure super soft powders and even application for easy and complete coverage.
