Virginia Beach, Virginia – AAPECS Eye Care has introduced the first Infinity vision program, combining cataract surgery with laser vision correction. The Virginia eye consultants found an innovative way to improve short- and long-distance vision while removing cataracts that involves performing two procedures at the same time.
“We can now reduce or eliminate the need for eyewear in a majority of cataract patients,” said Dr. Ronald Frenkel, founder of AAPECS Eye Care. “In the past, many people had to wear glasses after cataract surgery because of nearsightedness, farsightedness and/or astigmatism.”
New technology at the Virginia Beach eye care facility has enabled Frenkel, an ophthalmologist, to perform cataract surgery and now reduce costs associated with both surgeries, as well as the responsibility of maintaining glasses and updating their prescriptions regularly.
“Modern medicine has made tremendous leaps forward in the past few years,” said Frenkel. “We now have the ability to help most of these patients and make their vision better and their lives easier.”
Laser vision correction normally costs more than $4,000 for both eyes. The AAPECS Infinity program reduces costs by as much as 50%. For more information on the new program, contact AAPECS Eye Care at 757-552-0800 or visit their website at www.aapecs.com.
