The sales of single family homes in Burlington, Massachusetts rose by a significant 154 percent in May 2010 compared to May 2009, while median prices fell 15.7 percent, according to data analyzed by Buyers Brokers Only, LLC, a Massachusetts firm made up of exclusive buyer agents.
May of 2009 saw 11 sales at a median price of $444,900, while May of 2010 saw 28 sales at a median price of $375,000.
No multi-family homes were sold in May of either year, but both median prices and sales of condominiums rose – prices by 32.7 percent, from $305,000 to $404,758, and sales by 100 percent, from 2 to 4.
