Las Vegas, Nev. – Members of the executive team at Community Care College (CCC) attended the Career College Association (CCA) Convention and Exposition in Las Vegas, Nev., last week.
CCC team members Dr. Kevin Kirk, president, and Jamie Kidder, director of student services, presented on the topic of student services during a session June 10. Their presentation was titled “Creating a Culture That Promotes Retention”. The duo received excellent reviews from participants.
The event began June 8 and ended June 11, 2010. Exhibitors from all areas of the career college arena were present, including accreditation associations, financial aid assistance, e-learning Web site, etc. All CCC team members present attended multiple breakout sessions that dealt with such industry related topics.
The keynote speakers were President Bill Clinton, founder of the William J. Clinton Foundation and the 42nd President of the United States of America, and Joe Scarborough, former Congressman (R-FL) and host of MSNBC’s Breakfast with Joe.
The CCA’s mission statement: CCA is the premier source of crucial information and public policy recommendations that promote access to career education and the importance of workforce development.
