Hong Kong - TRM (HK) Ltd has established itself as one of the leading companies specialized in injury management services in Hong Kong. TRM’s Windows® server required upgrading due to disk space resources available however when considering the alternatives TRM management decided cloud computing and Google Apps was their preferred upgrade path rather than Exchange® server and in-house server hosting.
Cloud Solutions was awarded the upgrade contract after demonstrating a deep understanding of Google Apps, the migration process and additional business applications that can be integrated into Google Apps to support TRM’s business.
Cloud Solutions consultants used a range of Google tools to successfully migrate all emails stored in TRM’s Exchange server to Google’s Gmail without interrupting end users or TRM experiencing any downtime.
TRM users opted on continuing to use Outlook as their desktop email client. TRM successfully installed Google’s OutlookSync for Google Apps Premier Edition. TRM also installed Postini Message Discovery and Archiving services.
In total 28 users were migrated. Cloud Solutions provided training on Google Apps applications such as the Calendar, Video and Sites. TRM plan to use Sites extensively in their organisation and with their business partners.
The next phase of moving all business applications to the Cloud include adoption of HR, CRM and the migration of their Access databases to Cloud based databases.
TRM are delighted with the result and with no down time experienced by their team. The project took around 4 weeks to complete.
