“The J&J Overdrive pedal will be shipping later this month, and because the first line sold out, we expect our customers to generate some new and exciting content,” says Ben Fargen, Co-founder and tone engineer. The new site will allow for folks to post their comments and more importantly, their own demo videos. “This helps us to expand the community of musicians that have made Fargen an integral part of their tone”, Ben added.
The site will also feature information on the three winners of the “Me and My Fargen” contest, which closed yesterday. These winning entries which will be announced at this week’s NAMM show were selected at random and will each receive a Sonic Edge J&J Overdrive pedal, as well as a Tumbleweed pedal which Sonic Edge will be introducing at Summer NAMM and delivering later this September. Visitors to the web will be able to help select the color of the new Tumbleweed.
“We enjoy the feedback and input of our players and the new site really gives them an opportunity to share their thoughts and music”, says Rachel Wagoner, Web Producer. Rachel is an expert builder of online communities and applications, and her technical and communication background coupled with her eye for design are a winning combination when it comes to new media. “The site blends pedals and people together seamlessly, in a simple and clean design. It’s a Rock-Star!”
The J&J Overdrive as well as the Tumbleweed prototype will be demonstrated this week at the Fargen Amps/Sonic Edge booth at NAMM, booth number 1449, where dealers can enter for a free dealer giveaway of the J&J.
