Fans Eagerly Await “Queen Pin” DVD Retail Release on August 10

June 15, 2010 - PRLog -- JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – You never know what to expect or who you can trust when you mix love, money and drugs. That’s the premise behind the latest viral movie – “Queen Pin” – to take the Internet by storm.

“Queen Pin” tells the urban story about love, money, drugs and life in the ‘hood. A local hustler named Seven has an affair with a young lady named Rhanni and then starts living a double life on the streets. Someone close to him starts taking him and his crew out and years later Rhanni returns to take over his lifestyle.

“Rhanni returns to revenge his death and live his life,” said Gin X, the producer of the film. “But she is in for a rough time because she’s not alone in her quest.”

After recruiting a solid team and launching her plan, she realizes she’s not the only one wanting Seven’s lifestyle. The game gets heated as Rhanni and her mystery competitor try to both run the city.

“There are some hot times as the action really heats up in the bedroom and on the streets,” Gin X said. “It’s a true story of love and business that will have viewers crying, laughing and on the edge of their seat for the entire movie.”

This is the first movie wrote and directed by 25-year-old African American female producer Gin X. She relies on the Hip Hop and Urban genre for inspiration - targeting the younger generation with a unique “reality television” style.

“It might not be your reality or my reality, but it’s someone’s reality,” Gin X said. “Everyone has at least one script in them and it is called their life. I am here to show you your life’s journey on the screen.”

Along with “Queen Pin” she shot a web-series titled “Breaking Point” last March. Future business ventures are in the plans along with a non-profit geared towards helping children who have an incarcerated parent named “Captured Bodies, Free Spirits.”

While the DVD is already available online, it hits the mass market on August 10 including Best Buy, Blockbuster, Target, Wal-Mart, Netflix and RedBox locations nationwide.
