By: United Way Silicon Valley Solnik is president of Buena Vista, where he consults and provides business management services to technology and services companies on growing new businesses. Prior to Buena Vista, Solnik was president and chief operating officer of Santa Clara-based OpSource, Inc., a leading cloud-computing company. Before that, he was chief development officer of New Edge Networks until the successful sale of that company to EarthLink. He was also president of AT&T's consumer internet company, AT&T WorldNet, where he led the transformation of the business into broadband services and from investment mode to cash generation. Previously, he served on the boards of United Way Columbia-Willamette counties in Oregon and United Way of Morris County in New Jersey, where he led and participated in the development of new funding models, creative 2-1-1 initiatives, successful private-public partnerships, and community-wide housing initiatives. Schramm has been senior manager, Business Development, for American Express Business Travel for Northern California since 2008. Prior to joining American Express Business Travel, she held sales and management positions with Automatic Data Processing (ADP), Solectron (acquired by Flextronics) Schramm has been a supporter of United Way Silicon Valley for several years and is a founding member of its program that offers financial education and matched savings accounts to single mothers.
