1.)  Does the DJ have passion?  If the DJ looks as excited as some guy waiting in line at the DMV....probably not a good choice for your wedding entertainment.  For some DJ's, weddings are viewed as supplementary income on weekends.  For a handful of others, weddings are and opportunity for DJ's to demonstrate passion and ensure that a bride's special day will be remembered for years to come.

2.)  Does the DJ have a good personality?  If your DJ has the people skills of a post office counterhelp employee, chances are that they are not going to gave your friends and family a warm vibe.  They may even flip out if a song is requested.  Play it safe and look for a DJ with a good personality.  Ask yourself if you would want to sit next to this guy at your job.

3.)  Is your DJ articulate?  If your DJ cant pronounce the word "the", good chance that this is not your guy.  Perhaps maybe ask him to say his "A,B,C's" before the interview begins.
