13th Annual MASKS presented by Modern Skate

June 15, 2010 - PRLog -- Modern Skate will once again crown the Michigan amateur champion in skateboarding, in-line, and BMX with a preliminary qualifying contest series throughout the state, ending with an “invite only” final at Modern Skate Park in Royal Oak.  Over $10,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded during this year’s competition making it not only the longest running action sports contest series in Michigan, but one of the most rewarding.  This year’s event sponsor is Chipotle Mexican Grill.  

The top 2 riders in each qualifier, in each sport, and in each ability level will advance to the finals held in Royal Oak. Registration is one hour prior to contest and the entry fee is $10 (All times are estimates and subject to change).  Contact your local Modern Skate & Surf or visit www.modernskate.com for all details.

Lansing Qualifiers – 11th Annual Common Ground Event at Ranney Public Skate Park
July 17 - Skateboard – Noon  
July 18 - In-line – Noon

Royal Oak Qualifiers (entry fee includes skate time)
June 25 - In-line – Noon    
June 26 - Skateboard – Noon            
June 27 - BMX – 6 pm    
August 6 - In-line – Noon
August 7 - Skateboard – Noon
August 8 - BMX – 6 pm

FINALS – INVITE ONLY - ROYAL OAK SKATE PARK
September 3 - In-line – Noon
September 4 - Skateboard – Noon
September 5 - BMX – 6pm
