Red Bull's Manny Mania Comes to Royal Oak, MI

June 15, 2010 - PRLog -- Modern Skate Park in Royal Oak will be hosting a stop in the World Wide Red Bull “Manny Mania” Contest Series on National “Go Skateboarding Day”, Monday, June 21st.  This skateboarding contest, started in 2004, is unlike any other.  It’s unique set of rules and focus on technical skating set it apart from run of the mill skateboarding contests.

Taking place in 25 countries across six continents with a plane ticket and a chance to prove their technical skills at the Red Bull Manny Mania World Final in the city that doesn’t sleep but always shreds, New York. At stake is one spot in the Red Bull Manny Mania Pro event, skating against the manual masters.

ABOUT THE CONTEST:

The origin of Red Bull Manny Mania is from the forefront of the manual tricksters and Red Bull rider Joey Brezinski. The contest and concept was based on one simple trick - The Manual. The basics of a skateboarding manual is balancing on either the front or back two wheels.  By adding variations of sliding, grinding or flipping in or out makes this contest full of unlimited trick possibilities and allows numerous talented skaters the opportunity to win. As you can see, this can get really good.

"At the time there wasn't any technical trick contest going on and that's the way a lot of skaters and I skate, so I thought it would be a good idea." replies Joey about the soon to be 4th annual and now World Wide Red Bull Manny Mania.
