Harold Mordi, also known as HCODE was born in Lagos, Nigeria on the 17th of May, 1986. He hails from Delta State, Nigeria and is a spectacular music producer, artist and video director, who fresh out of the UK in 2007 stormed the Nigerian music scene with the formation of the music group H20 which was responsible for the hit single NAIRA. The hit single received awesome reviews world over, which catalyzed tour invitations from as far as Russia and the United States.
HCODE grew up listening to likes of Jayz, xzibit, & 50cents much later, he became deeply involved in music in 2006 as a multimedia production major in the UK during his project year. He was required to add original & scripted sound to his motion graphic designs. He was forced to start creating his own audio samples before he realized the hidden genius within.
HCODE who produces beats at the speed of thought is the CEO of Ear Waxx studios a production company he founded in 2007. His musical influences include the likes of FREZNO one of UK's Best hip hop Producers, Kanye West, Pharell, little brother,Jay-
His unique fusion of rap, hip-hop, afro beat, and R&B makes him a very much sort after music producer and artist. HCODE has to his Production credit jobs for the likes of Sauce kid (na me be fine boy),Vector the Viper, and international organizations like The KORNER CLUB, an European based Entertainment company who specialize in Visual Communication, Professional album/Mixtape production and distribution and raves all around the world. He has collaborated with selected Artises as Sauce kid, Ghetto P, Vector among others.
In his words: “As a kid I bought raps CDs just to listen to the beats, as I grew older I became more interested in lyrical depth. Nigerian music is on a high pedestal right now, and two of the artists I have grown to respect include Tuface and M. I.”
HCODE currently has official singles on air from his soon to be released album: IWO NI ( a club banger featuring Vector the Viper) and Come Back Home ft. Saucekid & Ghetto P.
