Hulafrog's Pick for June 11: Sunday is Fun Day at Monmouth Park Race Track

June 11, 2010 - PRLog -- RED BANK -- Here’s a different way to enjoy the outdoors with the fam this weekend.  Head over to Monmouth Park in Oceanport for Family Fun Day on Sunday.

Why on earth are we suggesting you take your little ones to the track?  (Fair enough.)  Consider this: kids pretty much rule the place from 12:00 noon until 4:00 PM on Sundays during the Summer.

They’ll enjoy pony rides, face painters, clowns who make balloon animals, a bounce house, and live music.  This Sunday features the music of Cats on a Smooth Surface "On the Green."

And mom & dad get a low-key way to enjoy the day.  Pack a lunch (or grab food there) and have a leisurely picnic while you watch the horses and the kids have fun.  

Bonus Alert: this Sunday is also Day 2 of "Win & Wine Weekend" where a $10 wristband gets you a wine glass and access to vino from ten different New Jersey vineyards.

Grandstand admission is $3 per person.  Kids 12 and under are free and all Family Fun Day activities are free.
