Luncheons that help save lives

June 11, 2010 - PRLog -- The first Children’s Cancer Institute Australia “Once Were Legends” charity sports luncheon took place on Thursday the 4th March at the award winning Barnaby’s Restaurant in Sydney. The event proved a great success and guests enjoyed a three-course meal on the terrace overlooking the Parramatta River.

This sports luncheon came complete with entertainment from guest speaker Damian Fleming, AKA “the Bowlologist”. Who entertained the crowd with some interesting antidotes and humorous thoughts on the world of cricket and business.

Taurus Trade Finance, proud sponsors of the event, were very pleased to raise $5,000 for the CCIA’s medical research.  Their colleges, friends and event partners donated an array of exciting prizes including luxury accommodation and flights.

Taurus Trade Finance is a team of highly experienced Trade and Debtor Finance professionals, many of which who have personally, or have friends and family that have been affected by the tragedy of Children’s cancer.  '

Following on from the great success of this event, there will be another ‘Once Were Legends Luncheon’ on Thursday 8th July.  This State of Origin Special will feature Blues Legend Noel “Crusher” Cleal and Maroons Hard Man Trevor “Axe” Gillmeister.
