The Girls Inc. of SWCT Dancing Xpressions annual dance recital “This One’s For the Girls”.

June 11, 2010 - PRLog -- Girls Incorporated of Southwestern Connecticut invites you to enjoy a fabulous day of dancing to celebrate the hard work and dedication of our Girls Inc of SWCT dancers. The dancers have been practicing for the past ten months to showcase their talents and prove that girls have the right to express themselves with originality and enthusiasm and be strong, smart, and bold!

Movement is one of the first forms of communication. From infancy, children love to move. Just watch the reaction of a young child when she hears music, an instrument playing, or someone clapping. She responds to the sounds with motion, whether it's swaying, rocking, clapping, or kicking her feet. Sheer delight is almost instantaneous.

Developing that innate creativity is dependent on early influences. Dance fosters an array of developmental assets including self-discipline, self-esteem, consistency, commitment, team-building, and physical fitness. Girls that participate in the Dancing Xpressions program are not only dancing, they are developing the building blocks of success in a positive and fun learning environment.

The Girls Inc. of SWCT Dancing Xpressions annual dance recital “This One’s For the Girls” will be held Saturday, June 19th at 2:00pm at Rotella Elementary School- 380 Pierpont Rd. Waterbury, CT 06705. Tickets for adults are $7.00 if purchased before June 15th, 2010 and $9.00 at the door. Children under 3 are free!
