Nebraska Cleaning Products Manufacturer Embraces Green

June 11, 2010 - PRLog -- OMAHA,NE – Chemical manufacturing companies aren’t generally associated with environmental stewardship, but Omaha-based The Clean Environment Company, is working to change that perception with their environmental standards and policies.

“We’ve worked to be an environmental steward since we founded the company in 1992,” says Don Eby, The Clean Environment Company’s president.  “We practice good environmental standards in our manufacturing and throughout our operation.”

The company employs a number of green practices in their manufacture of environmentally-friendly cleaning products, including processes that result in nearly zero waste; the use of cold water for blending to reduce energy usage; and the use of recycled paper and packaging whenever possible.

In addition, The Clean Environment Co. has gone to great lengths to find or develop the right combination of ingredients for their products. Because they are noncarcinogenic and nonmutagenic, they are safer for human and animal life, as well as for the environment and waterways, than most cleaning products.

“We have promoted being green for the last 18 years as a way of life,” says Eby.  “We are always looking for ways we can do more in those areas.”

To that end, Eby recently became a member of the Green Business Bureau, the nation’s leading third-part green business certification program.

“I felt  the Green Business Bureau  had good standards and policies that would help the environment,” says Eby.
