The event marks the first ever awards ceremony for the Data Centre sector across the Middle East region, highlighting the fast pace development and critical importance of data centers to businesses and economic activity.

Hazim Alaeddin, Kulacom Jordan’s CEO, stated, “We are honored to have won the ‘Best New Entrant in Middle East Data Centre’ at the Middle East region’s first-ever awards for data centre service excellence. Our Datacenter was only launched early this year and it is a remarkable achievement to have received such a prestigious international award only a few months after our launch.”

Kulacom’s 300 square meter state-of-the-art Datacenter is equipped with the latest server and virtualization technology from Dell International, establishing Kulacom’s Datacenter as the most advanced in Jordan as well as being one of the largest in the region.

Alaeddin went on to say, “Our sophisticated datacenter provides a cost-effective and security-rich outsourcing solution to help you meet the ever-changing business demands, sustain growth and protect your existing technology investments, without incurring the cost of additional hardware and software and minimizing the need for capital investment.”

Kulacom’s fully managed Datacenter has been designed to host the most basic to the most mission critical computer systems, enabling it to host customer solutions consisting of one processor and one gigabyte of storage or a solution that requires hundreds of servers with terabytes of storage per server.

The fully controlled datacenter will minimize security breaches and guarantees that there will be no disruption to services ensuring customer business continuity. Kulacom’s infrastructure includes physical 24/7 multi-layered security, advanced fire protection systems, redundant power feeds, backup generators, biometric readers, closed circuit surveillance, carrier neutral bandwidth and redundant connectivity, with 24/7 support and centralized network monitoring via the network operation centre (NOC).

The 2nd Data Centre Strategies Middle East event took place against a backdrop of increased investment and growth in the sector. The agenda for the event embraced a focused range of issues and topics relevant to the current evolution of data centers across the Middle East region and the technological and commercial challenges they face.
