Toy Story 3 inspired song to hit market June 18th from James Anthony Cotton
James Anthony Cotton announced today that his new song “Daisy” would be available on iTunes and all major digital outlets starting June 18th to coincide with the release of Toy Story 3. Mr. Cotton composed the song inspired by the storyline of the film in 2007 after he did the original voice character session for the character “Chuckles” in the movie. “Out of respect for Pixar and my unwillingness to give away any story spoilers, it has been on hold till the release of the movie.” he said in our interview.  Pixar replaced the final voicing of the character “Chuckles” in house with storyboard artist Bud Luckey. “While I was thrilled to do the initial tracking for Chuckles,  I always knew it may be replaced by someone in house at Pixar. I was fortunate but I guess not Luckey” he chuckled.  As to Daisy,  “ The story I felt was so inspiring that I went home immediately following the session and wrote the song.  I always felt it was a perfect match to the movie .and I only wish I was given the chance to have Pixar hear it too.  I think after people see the film and hear the song it will resonate with them. And I hope folks enjoy the wonder and sentiment the song brings.” The song is also scheduled to be included in Mr. Cotton’s upcoming new CD “U don’t know JAC” scheduled for release later this year. Mr. Cotton has several CD’s available online including: “Flowers”, “Sweet Thang”, and “Concerto” all available on iTunes along with his own feature film he wrote and directed “The Confessional” due out on DVD in July 2010 after a recent theater run.
