Dr. Timothy Bailey, MD, the Institute’s director, said, “We are seeking new solutions for people with type 1 or type 2 diabetes who have numbness or pain in their lower extremities. This study will help determine if an investigational medication can help these people reduce their pain and increase their mobility.”
The medication will be administered by Dr. Bailey and his staff at the firm’s Escondido and Temecula offices over a three-month period.
Participants must be at least 18 years old, have had type 1 or type 2 diabetes for at least 12 months, and have been diagnosed with the clinical signs and symptoms of moderate to severe diabetes neuropathy for at least six months.
Qualified participants will receive study-related medical evaluations and medication at no cost, and may be compensated for their time and travel.
