California Legislative Process Seminar Set for Anaheim

June 9, 2010 - PRLog -- Capitol Seminars has scheduled a California Legislative Process Seminar to be presented  on July 13, 2010. in Anaheim.  This seminar is presented 8 times yearly in the state capitol, Sacramento, and once annually in Southern California.

The introductory seminar focuses on basics of the legislative process, legislative rules and exceptions, how to work with legislative committees, glossaries of key legislative terms, key legislative publications, how to read a bill, dos and don't of testifying, rules for effective advocacy, how to choose the right author for a sponsored bill, client relations, and much more.

The seminars are essential for everyone interested in learning how the California Legislature works.

Since its founding in 2007, Capitol Seminars has hosted more than 750 enrollees in its introductory and advanced sessions.session. Founder and presenter Ray LeBov is a veteran of 35 years working in and around the California Legislature, including 17 years as counsel to various Senate and Assembly Committees. In his role as  Director of the Office of Governmental Affairs of the California Judicial Council, he served as the chief lobbyist for the state court system. After leaving state service, Mr. LeBov founded Ray LeBov and Associates, a leading California contract lobbying organization.
