GABRIELLE DIEGO’s new erotic novel wasn’t exactly written solely out of the love of writing, but more so written to try and make money to help with making end meets for the struggling, single parent. In fact the book is dedicated to Gabrielle’s child’s future. But, rest assured that didn’t take anything away from this exceptional literary effort from this first time author, with the release of “The Daughter”.
“The Daughter” is a provoking and torrid story focusing on reclusive, straight middle-aged writer, Abigail Mitchell who takes an unexpected detour in her life when she spends a few weeks in Cambridge, Massachusetts as a guest at her publisher’s house to take advantage of the peace and quiet to overcome her writers block.
Enter the publisher’s adorable daughter, Katie, a full-time law student and talented musician in her twenties who attends nearby Harvard University and resides at the house when schools in session, and who shows up un-expectantly and un-expectantly and turns into a complete distraction to the shy and extremely focused writer.
It’s not long before the two have words and confrontations. Abigail is harsh, rude, and less than willing to tolerate the young college students’ youthful and disruptive behavior. But at the same time, she can’t help but to become intrigued with Katie. The two finally become civil towards one another and even start spending some time together dining out at some of the top college eateries in the area. Abigail begins to enjoy Katie’s presence, and a newly discovered feeling of youthfulness. A solid friendship soon develops between the two that takes the two of them to Cape Cod and nearby Rhode Island.
But Abigail, having never experienced a sexual attraction towards another woman, is torn between her straight and conservative ways and her unexpected feelings towards Katie. The two women at first encounter some turbulence sharing the large house, but quickly become good friends, and the line is eventually crossed as the two engage in a torrid and passion-filled romantic encounter and adventure throughout Cape Cod.
Diego’s writing style is raw and uninhibited but still nicely retains a high level of class and sophistication. The story is intriguing, compelling and well written.
Gabrielle Diego resides in San Francisco and is the single full time parent of an adorable child. Gabrielle has tried several things to try and bring some extra income into the household. This time, Gabrielle has picked a winner with the creation of “The Daughter”.
The book is rich in graphic romantic encounters which will keep the readers undivided attention and definitely earns it an “adult only” rating. However, there’s nothing trashy as Gabrielle uses a strong and intelligent writing style that makes the book a great, first class reads for fans of intelligent erotica at all levels.
Some early reviews by competent critics proved promising for the novel and provided Gabrielle with the self-assurance that was needed to drive Gabrielle to take a gamble, invest the household’s limited resources and self-publish this first release. Diego also launched a publishing company appropriately named; Naughty Novel Publishing to handle the business aspects of the new release.
Now, Gabrielle is optimistic, yet positive as the book has just been released and is starting to make its way to retailers across the country. The book is also available through Amazon.com and various internet book retailers.
“The Daughter” is much more than your typical erotic novel. It’s a valiant effort by a parent to build a stronger financial security for their child.
