The investment included three base simulators and four Conversion Kits® to support a range of equipment. Immersive Technologies’exclusive alliances with the world’s leading OEMs ensure that its simulators are accurate and authentic. Each simulator is supported with a comprehensive Customer Support Program (CSP) ensuring maximum utilisation.

MCC has taken the further proactive step of utilising Immersive Technologies’ unique ‘Training Systems Integration (TSI)’ program. Immersive Technologies Application Engineers specialise in assisting companies to integrate simulator training into existing training programs, allowing maximum utilisation and return on investment from day one.

With strong support by MCC, the company expects over 300 equipment operators to be trained and assessed on the Immersive Technologies’ Advanced Equipment Simulators with the goal of improving equipment operational skills resulting in increased site safety, productivity and reduced equipment maintenance.

MCC Group Training Manager, Pieter Page, is excited about the opportunity offered by Immersive Technologies’ TSI program to significantly improve the quality of their operators. “I am convinced that we are going to see financial benefits from the programme which we did not deem possible. The time has come for us to develop a very different breed of operator, and Immersive Technologies’ simulation technology is going to play a major role in achieving this objective.”

Immersive Technologies Regional Manager - East & Southern Africa, Anthony Bruce said, “This is a strategic investment by MCC Contracts in order to maximise, ‘measureable returns’ of mobile machinery & operators deployed across multiple mine sites. The simulators will greatly assist the company’s efforts in ‘Strategic Workforce Development’ improving safety and increasing site profitability.”
