Top-Tier Tutoring Releases Podcast That Describes What College Counseling Is – And What It Is Not

During the podcast, co-founder, college counselor and tutor Mike Rivera of Top-Tier Tutoring discusses the factors comprising college counseling.  Not simply an application deadline reminder source, college counseling involves an in-depth review of the student’s goals, dreams and achievements.  With those in mind, the student is then guided through the thousands of colleges within the United States in order to create an appropriate list of possible candidates for application.  The college counselor works with the student so that tutoring needs are assessed, extracurricular and volunteer work established, essays and academic resumes created, interview skills refined and campus visits secured.  The college counselor takes a holistic view of the student in order to guide him or her to the best possible college or university for his or her needs.
