Rogue Valley Microdevices, a leading Oregon MEMS Foundry received a visit from former Governor and current democratic nominee John Kitzhaber during his visit to Southern Oregon. Immediately following a meeting sponsored by the Southern Oregon Regional Economic Development organization where Kitzhaber answered questions relating to economic development and job growth, he arrived at Rogue Valley Microdevices to meet the company’s CEO and tour their manufacturing facility. “I was impressed with the level of interest the Governor showed in our business and local economy” said CEO Jessica Gomez. “He really took the time to ask questions and to learn about Rogue Valley Microdevices, our products and facility. We also discussed the Southern Oregon economy and what we as a community are doing to help encourage economic growth and prosperity. Kitzhaber ended the tour at Rogue Valley Microdevices by posing for some photographs with one of the company’s newest products.
