Editor of Christianity Today / Kyria Magazine to Speak in Springfield, Missouri, July 10

Ginger Kolbaba to present at regional non-profit writers' group's annual conference.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Jun 08, 2010 -
Ginger Kolbaba is scheduled to speak at Dancing With Words, the 2010 conference for long-time, non-profit regional writers' group Ozarks Romance Authors. Her topic on July 10 at The Library Center in Springfield, Mo., will be Writing For the 21st Century Woman.

Ginger Kolbaba is Editor of Kyria Magazine (and its online version, Kyria Digizine) and Marriage Partnership magazine, both publications of Christianity Today International.

She has also worked on the editorial staff of Leadership journal, a publication for pastors; as an associate editor of MP’s sister publication Today’s Christian Woman; and an assistant editor of Preaching Today.

With co-author Christy Scannell, Ginger has written the Secret's From Lulu's Cafe series of novels for Simon and Schuster, with titles including Desperate Pastors' Wives, A Matter of Wife & Death, and Katt's in the Cradle.

Kolbaba has been a columnist for Let’s Worship and has published more than 150 articles. In addition, she has appeared on national venues such as CNN's Nancy Grace and Family Life radio.

An accomplished book author, Ginger was co-author/collaborator of Refined by Fire (Tyndale), a 2005 Gold Medallion finalist that received a starred review in Publishers Weekly. She has written several other non-fiction books: Dazzled to Frazzled and Back Again: The Bride’s Survival Guide (Revell) and Surprised by Remarriage: A Guide to the Happily Even After (Revell). She has collaborated on several books including The Five Sex Needs of Men and Women (Tyndale), released fall 2006.

Before becoming an editor/writer, she worked as a professional actress/singer/speaker. “It’s amazing how God lets you realize one dream—acting—to show you your real passion—for me it’s helping, educating, and entertaining people through writing and editing.”

She’s a pastors’ kid (both her parents are ordained ministers), which she used as a loose basis for her novel. She lives in the Chicagoland area with her husband, Scott; her Doberman puppy, Bella; her book collection; her husband’s inventions; and her dusty, out-of-tune piano.
