June 7, 2010 - PRLog -- Australia has a brand new Miss Hooters to be very proud of!

Kylie Whyte has won the 2010 Miss Hooters Australia beauty pageant!

The 10 lucky finalists-4 from Sydney and 6 from the Gold Coast had 3 chances to impress the judging panel.

The first round everyone wore their Hooters uniform, but this was just an entree for what was to come. The second round featured the girls looking elegant and graceful in evening wear and the third round showcased the women in their favourite Ossix swimwear.

The judges had a very tough choice in choosing Miss Hooters Australia, 2010, as every girl was worthy of victory.

In the end, after the public sms votes had been taken into account and the judges verdicts were in, joint MC’s Mike Goldman and Jaime Wright read out the name of a stunned yet jubilant Kylie Whyte, of the Hooters Parramatta store.

“There were so many wonderful girls to choose from and I’m truly flattered to have won the Miss Hooters Australia 2010 Pageant. I can’t wait to represent my country when I go to Miami to compete in the Miss Hooters World competition in July and of course I’d love to win the US $100,000 prize money on offer!”, Kylie Whyte said.

Following the same format as Miss Universe two other prizes were awarded. The second runner up was Ashleigh Thomas from Sydney and the first runner up was Amanda Blanks from the Hooters Mermaid Beach restaurant. If anything happens to Kylie and she isn’t able to compete in Miami, Amanda will fill her place by literally stepping into her shoes, cocktail dress and bikini.

The restaurant was packed with stars such as Benn Robinson, Australian Rugby Union player and Joel Balchin of the legendary Crusty Demons, together with 200 members of the public supporting the event.

“The night couldn’t have gone better. The girls were a credit to themselves and represented our brand perfectly. Their support for one another and their sportsmanship was outstanding.

“Our celebrity judges enjoyed themselves, the public definitely got involved in the night, but I think Kylie had the best night out of anyone”, said Morney Schlebusch, Chief Operating Officer, Hooters Restaurants Australia.

Kylie Whyte has now made girls all over Australia, white with envy!
