Newtown Day Care Center Opening Soon Features Devoted Caregivers and Nurturing Environment

June 7, 2010 - PRLog -- NEWTOWN, C.T. – Newtown day care center The Learning Experience will open its doors on Monday, June 14, ready to warmly welcome all children, parents and guardians alike.
Danielle Van Riper is the owner and operator of this Newtown day care center. Ms. Van Riper knows how important the early years of childhood are and how they create a strong foundation from which the child will build from for the rest of his or her life.
“We are here to make a difference in the lives of children in Newtown through a relentless pursuit of excellence in early childhood education in a fun fashion,” Ms. Van Riper said.
Ms. Van Riper’s background includes extensive educational experience. She holds a master’s degree in special education from Bankstreet College in addition to both New York and Connecticut teaching certifications, and has more than a decade of training as an educator.
Ms. Van Riper recognized the need for more Newtown day care access, and the need for a safe place where children can feel confident and cherished when outside of their homes, so she chose to open The Learning Experience child development center in Newtown.  
The Learning Experience is fully licensed to provide Newtown day care for children ages six weeks to five years old, from the hours of 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. It’s conveniently located at 274 South Main Street, Building A, in the Plaza South Shopping Center.
“From day one, every child will be given individual attention, be honored with respect, and receive warmhearted care,” said Ms. Van Riper.
The Learning Experience’s Newtown day care center is focused on each child’s unique abilities and desires, and the engaging programs provided are grounded in this focus. Examples of some of the reading and academic programs children will find at The Learning Experience include Fun with Phonics and L.E.A.P (Learning Experience Academic Program).
Ms. Van Riper firmly believes growing up should never be all work and no play. The Learning Experience includes its own child-sized Main Street, USA, an interactive learning and play area called Make Believe Boulevard. It’s an environment that inspires imagination while developing social skills as children wear costumes and role play.
Safety and security are primary at the Newtown day care center. Ever present is a state of the art security monitoring system in all classrooms and the playground, as well as a comprehensive electronic security system which allows only enrolled parents and staff to enter the building through an individually programmed key tag.  
Furthermore, Ms. Van Riper wants to foster a safe and positive environment outside of the Newtown day care center, too.
“Our goal is to work closely within the Newtown community,” Ms. Van Riper said. “The town of Newtown has warmly welcomed us and we want to reciprocate our thanks.”  The community is invited to attend The Learning Experience’s grand opening celebration on Saturday, July 10, (rain date Sunday, July 11) during which the center will honor men and women in uniform in the Newtown Community. A local fire engine and police cruiser will be onsite for children to explore. There will also be refreshments, BBQ and fun activities free of charge. Parents in uniform who register in July will be given a tuition discount.
