Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Company Going Strong after SAP Go-Live in India and China

Two months has passed since Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Company, the most prestigious motorcycle company in the world announced a successful “go-live” of the Horizon1 project in China and India on April 2, 2010.

Emergys, a worldwide industry leading Business Transformation Service provider, worked closely with SAP to help Harley-Davidson during the implementation of the Horizon1 project.  The seven month project included the implementation of SAP into two important markets that are predicted to be the future for Harley-Davidson - India and China.  The objective of the Horizon1 project was to enhance time-to-value, improve dealer management, streamline Harley-Davidson’s financial systems and increase transparency across their logistic process.

The SAP ERP solution for Harley-Davidson included the following modules:  Finance and Controlling, Materials Management, Sales and Distribution, Vehicle Management System, Financial Supply Chain Management and Dealer Portal.
