Go Green with Sundial Conference Venues

June 7, 2010 - PRLog -- Each venue was scored individually, with Highgate House, their meeting venue in Northamptonshire, scoring an impressive 95% by ensuring that 52 of the 55 green practices are in place around the venue. Barnett Hill in Guilford and Woodside in Kenilworth came close with an highly commendable 87%.

The venues, which sport a range of meeting rooms to suit every criteria, were assessed by the IACC’s ‘Code of Sustainability’ which includes scoring points for planet-friendly waste management, recycling, reusing, water conservation, energy management and air quality.

This is the second year of accreditation for the renowned meeting venues, and the team, including managing director and green champion Tim Chudley are “delighted” to have reached the gold tier again and are busy making plans to ensure that each conference venue can achieve full marks in 2011. “We at Sundial Group will be reviewing our own internal action plans to progress in all the required areas.  We constantly measure our carbon emissions at Sundial Group venues and are dedicated to reducing our impact on the beautiful locations we are so lucky to occupy”
