ATIV Software today announced the immediate availability of the free app mLearnCon 2010 for iPhone, iPod Touch, Android, and BlackBerry. Based on version 2.0 of the conference platform EventPilot, attendees benefit from intuitive new features that allow them to manage their schedule, view presentations and take notes as well as easily communicate with colleagues all from their mobile device. Event organizers can now provide a full replacement for the printed programs and handouts, creating a green, paperless event.
With the innovative new version of EventPilot, staying organized and making the most of attending a conference has never been easier. Unlike heavy and costly paper programs and handouts, mLearnCon users interactively build their personal schedule, preview presentations, take notes, and start the conversation with other delegates - all within the app.
“As we started planning mLearnCon, a new conference focused on mobile learning, we simply couldn’t imagine handing every attendee a paper program guide at the registration desk knowing that 85% of them would be carrying a smart phone,” said David Holcombe, the eLearning Guild’s president and CEO. “In a highly collaborative effort, ATIV Software created EventPilot and enabled us to achieve our vision of providing attendees with a highly intuitive mobile application for event navigation, personal program planning, and content socialization. We couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome!”
"EventPilot version 2.0 is a breakthrough in taking advantage of today's powerful smartphones at conferences. Attendees not only manage and plan their attendance effectively, they also have unprecedented access to session slides directly on their device.” said Eric Converse, Founder of ATIV Software. “Attendees save a tremendous amount of time with automated reporting or integrated social media tools like Twitter to share key learnings and stay in communication with their team back home.”
EventPilot makes event planning easier by allowing schedule updates right up to and during the event. Meeting planners also benefit from dramatically reduced printing costs as well as offering a superior event guide to the printed program.
