Carsmart Teams Up With Hope House; And Goes Green

On June 1, 2010 CarSmart asked their facebook fans to make suggestions for their new charity.  CarSmart received more than 20 great suggestions and have randomly chosen Hope House in Independence.

The Hope House is a domestic violence shelter for battered women and children.  For more information about the Hope House or domestic violence go to www.hopehouse.net/

The kickoff is today!! Send all your friends to www.facebook.com/CarSmartKC to join CarSmart’s fan page and raise money for Hope House, the goal is $2,000.  For every new friend CarSmart will donate $10.  

CarSmart is going green! CarSmart is also a drop off station for used ink/toner cartridges, old cell phones, iPods, digital cameras, and laptops.  CarSmart will recycle these through Global Re-Source Funding and all proceeds go to Hope House.

CarSmart President and CEO Ted Heater commented, “We are excited to be able to help a worthy organization.  People need to be more aware of abuse and help support the fight against domestic violence.”
