Jeffrey Mills, organist and choir director at Church of St. John Evangelist and music director of the Wednesday Concert Series held at the parish, is pleased to announce that the popular classical music series will enter its fourth season this month.
The Wednesday Concert Series is an audience favorite and has become a regular venue for musical artists to perform in an intimate, congenial and acoustically satisfying place.
The series primarily attracts performers from Greater Boston, but some are from other parts of the United States, as well as Canada, Asia and Europe. Many of the musicians are well known, while others are just embarking upon a career. Since the series began in June 2007, there have been nearly twenty Boston premiere performances on the series and some of those have been world premieres as well.
Performances at the Wednesday Concert Series are free and open to the public and held at the Church of St. John Evangelist 35 Bowdoin Street Beacon Hill, Boston MA 02114. For more information, please visit www.stjev.org or call the parish at 617.227.5242 Concerts begin at 5:30 PM, no wheelchair access.
