Oakton, VA — Mosaic Harmony, an interfaith, multicultural community choir, is pleased to announce that they will serve as the intermission entertainment for the District of Columbia Miss Senior America pageant, to be held at the University of the District of Columbia Auditorium on June 6, 2010. This marks the choir’s first appearance for the pageant and they are thrilled to be a part of an event that celebrates aging gracefully. “The choir’s membership has many women who would be excellent pageant contestants if they were residents of the District”, noted choir coordinator Janet Pressler, who is responsible for arranging the group’s performances.
The Ms. Senior America Pageant is the world's first and foremost pageant to emphasize and give honor to women who have reached the "Age of Elegance." It is a search for the gracious lady who best exemplifies the dignity, maturity and inner beauty of all senior Americans. The Ms. Senior America philosophy is based upon the belief that seniors are the foundation of America, and our most valuable treasure. It is upon their knowledge, experience and resources that the younger generation has the opportunity to build a better society.
Mosaic Harmony’s concerts are high-energy, inspiring performances that leave audiences feeling uplifted and encouraged. Bringing together people of diverse cultures, ages, backgrounds, and more than 17 faith traditions to celebrate humanity is Mosaic Harmony’s vision to be a source of inspiration on a local, national, and global level.
The pageant is open to the public and will be held at the University of the District of Columbia Auditorium, Building 46E, 4200 Connecticut Avenue NW, Washington DC.
