Way to Transform Shridhar University Pilani Joins hands with Rajasthan Patrika for Education Fair

The most successful economies of the world are the ones which have high quality human resources and well-developed network of knowledge-driven institutions. For India, this transformation can happen only by increased access to good quality education.

June 5, 2010 - PRLog -- The summer months are hot in India not only due to temperatures but also due to heat generated by Mission Admission for the gen-next youngsters in the race for global future in various educational institutions across the country. To address this issue, Rajasthan Patrika has been organizing Education Fairs in different parts of the state.

At Sikar it is being organized from June 3-6, 2010 and Way to Transform Shridhar University has cosponsored the same. In a colorful function held at Sikar on 03 June 2010, the Education Fair was inaugurated by Shri G L Gupta District collector Sikar and Shri Vikas Kumar Superintendent of Police Sikar. On behalf of Shridhar University the cosponsor for the Education fair, Prof BR Natarajan, Pro Vice Chancellor and Director School of Engineering & Technology graced the function.

To prepare students for a global future, Shridhar University has taken up collaborations with international institutions and already has signed MoU with top ranking Athens University of Economics and Business – AUEB, Greece. Further the Institute for Innovation in Science and Technology – IIST at Shridhar University aims at nurturing entrepreneurship. The Shridhar Technology Park will have certification programs by leading IT organizations of global repute which include Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, SAP, Red Hat and EMC.

Spread over 60 acres area, the Shridhar University master plan envisages a School of Engineering and Technology; School of Business Studies and International Trade; School of Basic and Applied Sciences; School of Agricultural and Veterinary Sciences; School of Humanities, Social Sciences, Arts and Fine Arts; School of Legal Studies and Governance; School of Education Technology; School of Medicine; School of Library Science and Information; School of Mass Communication and Media and a School of Oriental Sciences. The campus facilities would include health centre, banking, ATM, a well equipped modern gymnasium, facilities for outdoor and indoor games, a stadium, swimming pool, green house, food courts, a golf course, shopping complex and other recreational facilities.

The Shridhar University campus is geared up to provide the best environment for the pursuit of higher education by offering Diplomas, Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral programmes as well as certificate courses in various diverse disciplines including emerging areas to prepare the enrolled students for taking up leadership in the larger task of nation building.

An initiative of the Sarvhit Trust, Shridhar University established under Section 2(f) of UGC Act. 1956 incorporated by Government of Rajasthan vide Ordinance No. 3 of 2009 and the same ratified by the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly vide Act No. 4 of 2010 as The SHRIDHAR UNIVERSITY ACT BIGODNA, JHUNJHUNU is located on the Pilani - Chirawa State Highway No. 13 towards Jaipur in the famed Shekhawati region widely known as the world's largest open art gallery. Pilani is well known for the host of educational institutions as well as CSIR Laboratory CEERI as well as upcoming assembly centre for the prestigious Brahmos missiles project. Vide letter F.No 8-3/2010(CPP-I/PU) dated 31 May 2010, the University Grants Commission (UGC) has also notified Shridhar University under Scetion 2(f) of UGC Act 1956.
