Goalkeeper: (name, country, club): Petr Cech, Czech Republic, Chelsea
The Czech star keeper has solidified himself as the backbone of Chelsea since arriving from Rennes in 2004.
Defenders: Darijo Srna, Croatia, Shakthar Donetsk; Thomas Vermaelen, Belgium, Arsenal; Cristian Chivu, Romania, Inter Milan; Yuri Zhirkov, Russia, Chelsea
The 2009 UEFA Cup winner Srna is a strong free-kick taker who can pass well and is a good worker. Vermaelen has a good knack for scoring goals as a defender while Chivu has been a strong defender for Jose Mourinho's Inter Milan side and helped the club win the Champions League on May 22. And Zhirkov brings pace, technique and excellent crosses from the left side.
Forwards Craig Bellamy, Wales, Manchester City; Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Sweden, Barcelona; Ivica Olic, Croatia, Bayern Munich
Bellamy has struggled to get along with coaches but he can score goals - and set them up as well. Olic netted a hat-trick for Bayern against Olympique Lyon to book a Champions League final place and has been an integral part of Louis van Gaal's team. Ibrahimovic meanwhile starred at European giants Inter Milan, Juventus Turin and Ajax Amsterdam before arriving at Barcelona.
