Have you ever wondered who is partially responsible for changing the world, as we know it? His name is Vint Cerf, also known as the “Father of the Internet.” He is the co-designer of the basic architecture of the Internet.
Experienced photographer and cinematographer Jim Folliard of the Fairfax Video Studio and Gearshift Productions, LLC, recently had the honor of interviewing Mr. Cerf at the Google headquarters. According to Mr. Folliard, “(Vint Cerf) is a brilliant mind.”
Back in the day when the Internet wasn’t widely available to the public, Mr. Cerf recognized its potential. As the Internet started to make the transition to a commercial endeavor, he became a key player in the development of the first commercial email system that was connected to the Internet.
Mr. Cerf’s experience spans over decades, which includes his time at the Corporation for National Research Initiatives (CNRI), the United States Department of Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and MCI. Currently, Mr. Cerf works for the search engine giant, Google, as Vice President and Chief Internet Evangelist. He has been an instrumental figure at Google since 2005 and has received numerous awards and recognitions for his accomplishments.
During the interview, Mr. Cerf discussed the topic of Internet security.
