Yes, it can look really attractive but, you have you to think things not just basing on the price but on how often you will use your phone as well. Ask yourself: Do I need my phone when I’m working? or Do I need to always and forever be calling my parents or friends? Am I going to make calls outside the country?

If you have answered negatively, then you might as well settle with a prepaid mobile phone.  Prepaid phones are very ideal for those who are not willing to sign any contract and have no intention of using their phones excessively. There are numerous advantages and some disadvantages of being attached to prepaid.

Advantages:

-    Credit check not required

-    Deposits not required

-    Excluded from monthly rental free

-    Termination fee can’t be imposed if you have decided to abandon the use of your phone

-    Service fee not included

-    Varieties of phones are very much available most especially if you are looking for one with a built-in camera

-    Call costs can be controlled

Disadvantages:

-    SMS and calls are more expensive because of the per minute charging compared to a phone which is billed

-    Credit can run out most especially in crucial times

Prepaid phones can be priced the more you use it. For example, if you love taking pictures and want everyone to see it, you can send it to them and get ready to be charged with an impeccable amount. There are roaming charges that can be pretty expensive. On the other hand, there are some networks that offer giveaways and promotions without hidden charges.  Nowadays, getting credit for your cell phone can be easier than you think. Mass distributions of prepaid cards are made available by networks to different establishments and carriers.

“…Simply follow the different instructions printed at the back of your card to be able to use the credit that you have purchased…” Added Xaviera Arata
