Atlanta chef vies for her O.W.N tv show

Atlanta, GA—June 4, 2010, Chef Angela Mckeller, cook book author and local chef, loves things that are simple. Taught by her great-grandmother, Mom Buck, chef McKeller learned from the time she was yay high that you can save money and protect your pocketbook by making simple recipes using the same ingredients in different combinations.

It’s really that simple and that affordable.  

This month, chef Angela partnered with Cadillac Test Drive and gave away a free Ambush Kookover. The lucky winner, 365 Atlanta Publisher, Maura Neill has a pretty bright green thumb, but didn’t know how to use all her herbs, spices and veggies without making 100 trips to the grocery store. Chef Angela showed Maura how to stock her pantry with purpose by purchasing affordable items, shying away from grocery store marketing tactics and demonstrating how to use simple ingredients in different combinations over and over.  After twenty minutes and just $88 later, Maura says, “just one day later, cooking a meal in my newly-organized kitchen has been a totally different experience!”

Now, chef Angela takes her talent to the tube. O.W.N., Oprah’s newest venture, calls for talented chefs, talk show hosts and spiritual gurus to bring their best to a user-generated video contest. Chef Angela just launched her Recession/Depression Era “kooking” tips video and needs your help to eliminate meals as one of America's primary worries as a monthly expense!
