Budding kitchen entrepreneurs get ready! Shared Kitchens was designed for those who want to enter the food service business, but find the costs prohibitive!

June 4, 2010 - PRLog -- Caterers, Bakers, Product Developers and even Grandma's Cupcakes can now produce their products in accordance to local health regulations in this "incubator kitchen" concept that Julie Farr has been operating successfully in Suwanee Georgia for a couple of years.

Tighter regulations prohibit food for public consumption from being prepared in kitchens that are not owned by the entity producing the food.  One must have their own kitchen that they own or lease to create these products.  No more using the Church Kitchen or using the kitchen of Joe's Bar and Grill in the off hours.
Caterers are scrambling to lease closed restaurant spaces and create kitchens as they are no longer permitted to operate out of un-approved spaces.

Atlanta Restaurant Exchange Commercial Broker Doug Marranci knew there was a need for shared kitchens in the Atlanta Metro, and contacted Julie to consider a 5000 SF commercial kitchen minutes from Downtown Atlanta that was available for lease.

After successful negotiation by Brian Paul of Atlanta Restaurant Exchange, Julie signed a lease and began working on the facility on Laredo Drive in Decatur. Atlanta Restaurant Exchange Broker Brian Paul managed this transaction and states "We have a long list of clients who are waiting for this facility to open in the next couple of months!"

Says Julie Farr: "Shared Kitchens began as a dream fueled by my passion for entrepreneurship!  I believe that business owners have a common passion to take control of their own lives, and their own futures.  After leaving the accounting field to raise my children, I spent 12 successful years as an independent distributor of kitchen wares.  Through this experience I learned that with the right tools, and the right support, you can run a successful business, instead of letting the business run you!
