Las Vegas, NV - June 9, 2010 – myMix, the intuitive networked personal monitoring and multi-track recording system, gets its first system add-on. The new IEX-16L 16-channel input expander will debut at the 2010 Infocomm Show in Las Vegas, NV. The 19-inch 1RU IEX-16L can take up to 16 line-level signals (2 x DB25) from sources such as a mixing console or external pre-amps and make them available on a myMix network.
With the launch of the IEX-16L the system will also receive a firmware update that removes the limits of network channels and number of available myMix units. When switched to “No-Input”
While a total of 16 audio channels on the network can still be operated through unmanaged Fast Ethernet switches, the use of managed switches that handle IGMP raises the limit of network channels to the capacity of the switch (double the number of multi-cast groups). Audio channel count exceeding 120 are realistic with most IGMP enabled managed switches, giving each myMix user the option to select the 16 channels they would like to control ala carte.
Infocomm attendees are invited to stop by Movek booth C7656 to see the IEX-16L in action. The IEX-16L is scheduled to ship in late October, 2010, while the firmware update is scheduled for release late summer of 2010.
