Procore Technologies Announces Procore for iPhone

Construction Project Management Software Industry's First-Ever iPhone App Available Now

June 8, 2010 - PRLog -- Santa Barbara, CA – June 8, 2010 – Procore Technologies, the maker of Procore construction project management software for commercial and residential construction, today announced the release of the construction software industry’s first iPhone app for creating, managing and sharing construction project data.

“We are excited to be leading the way in responding to the needs of construction project management software users,” said Craig “Tooey” Courtemanche, CEO of Procore. “Procore for iPhone brings the power of Procore’s construction project management software to the iPhone, and enables our users to carry Procore with them wherever they take their iPhones.”

Construction spending in the U.S. totals over $850 billion per year, and the industry has just recently begun to adopt cloud computing and mobile applications as a standard part of its business processes. Contractors are switching from outmoded client-server software to cloud-based, construction software-as-a-service (SaaS), resulting in Procore experiencing double-digit revenue growth during the past two years. Procore’s web-based construction project management software makes it easy for commercial and residential contractors, architects and sub-contractors to manage and share construction project data in one, easy-to-use interface.

Procore for iPhone brings key features of Procore’s web app to the iPhone. Users can create, manage and share project information that is immediately synced with Procore’s web-based construction project management software. The first release of Procore for iPhone offers several tools, including: photo creation and sharing; punch list item creation and distribution; directory contact access and sharing; time card logging; and daily job log note taking. Using voice-to-text technology, Procore for iPhone transcribes voice dictation audio into text and adds project information to Procore’s web-based construction project management software.

Procore has thousands of active users at hundreds of customer accounts, including leading construction companies such as Fagen Engineering (MN), XL Construction (CA), Nova Corp. (NY), and Owen-Ames-Kimball Co. (MI/FL). Projects managed using Procore run up to hundreds of million of dollars in value. Project teams have numerous members, who all need access to project data from wherever they happen to be, whenever a question needs to be answered.

“Procore for iPhone delivers on the promise of cloud-based computing to provide anytime, anywhere access to shared business data,” said Steve Zahm, President of Procore. “Procore’s web-based construction project management software is able to provide value to our clients that older client-server construction software applications just can’t deliver.”
