Got car trouble? Not sure who to trust for your needed auto repairs? In this economy, most of us are looking to be sure we get quality service at reasonable prices from professionals we can trust. Celebrating their 25th year in business, all in the same location on Poway, Robby’s Auto Service and Repair is well worth the visit.
In continuing our exploration and connection of the Poway area, this week we met with Robby Jensen of Robby’s Auto Service and Repair. As one would expect from someone with 25 years of success in a single location, Robby shared a passion for his business, the Poway community, and taking care of those around him – customers, employees, and family.
Knowing they are the fuel that makes the engine run, Robby has clearly devoted time and effort to ensuring a positive customer experience. This is evidenced through the fact that he has relied solely on word of mouth and customer referrals to build and grow his business. That doesn’t work when you aren’t focused on the needs of your clientele. Listening to customer feedback, over the years he has expanded his business and hired staff to be able to fix or service anything under the hood - breaks, air conditioning, alignment, transmission service, or just general maintenance, any make or model. In 1997 he also upgraded to be able to perform smog checks and repairs based on new regulations. As a member of the NAPA auto care network, Robby’s customers also receive a 1 year, 12 thousand mile warranty on all parts and labor, with servicing available from outside participating members nationwide. That’s pretty good – if he works on your car, and something happens while you’re traveling, you can take your car to a member auto shop, get the needed repairs, and be on your way. Staying on top of technology, Robby also offers his customers the option of accessing all of their service records, receiving reminders, and discount services online at http://www.robbysautoservice.com.
If the customers of Robby’s Auto Service and Repair are the fuel, his employee team is the engine that makes the business operate. Robby has five full time technicians and one part time, two of which have been with him since the day he opened his doors – Steve Stahlman and Rick Emms. All of his technicians are ASE certified and participate in continuing education courses to stay abreast of changes in the industry.
An engine, even fueled up, needs a chasse to keep everything together. As you may have guessed, the community of Poway has been this chasse for Robby’ Auto Service since they opened on April 25, 1985. He is a member of the Poway Chamber of Commerce, the Better Business Bureau; sponsors local youth sports and provides internships for high school students. He also offers a $20 discount for his services for members of the Poway Connect site (http://www.facebook.com/
