Tumor Treatment has just released a new section of their website that contains all the information regarding Tumor Treatment. This is a part of a new organization website that is all about Tumor Treatment. Members and non-members can visit freely to the website at: http://TumorTreatment.org/.

Here is an excerpt from Tumor Treatment Webpage:

"Benign tumor is a tumor that is not malignant because it lacks the enveloping properties of cancer but can still create harmful health effects. It does not develop in an aggressive manner, does not attack surrounding tissues, likewise, it does not scatter to remote tissues (metastasize). Usual example of this tumor includes uterine fibroids and moles.

The word "benign" means a gentle and non-progressive illness and plenty of benign growths are harmless to health. On the other hand, a neoplasm is called benign tumors for the reason that they do not have the constant properties of a tumor and can still make damaging health effects. Examples of these are those tumors which create functional growths of endocrine tissues, which can overproduce particular hormones (examples will include thyroid adenomas, pituitary adenomas and adrenal-cortical adenomas).

Benign tumors are normally surrounded by outer surfaces which hinder their capacity to act in malignant behavior.

Symptoms or pathological effects can include the following:
• Bleeding or loss of occult blood which cause anemia
• Cosmetic changes
• Itching
• Pressure which causes pain or dysfunction
• Hormonal syndrome
• Obstruction like intestinal obstruction
• Density of vital organs or blood vessels

Majority of benign tumors need no treatment at all. If benign tumors are causing symptoms, present dangers in health or cause cosmetic anxiety for the patients, surgery is the generally the best effective approach. Large amount of benign tumors have no reaction to chemotherapy or radiotherapy."
