"CNC or Computer Numerical Control is process by which machine and equipments are being controlled by a computer. Unlike traditional machinery where in the human power is needed to maneuver the processing, CNC machines are controlled by computer programs and digital electronic circuits.
CNC machines are special purpose equipment used to increase the production of a certain product. It is somehow possible to produce hundreds to thousands of a product in the same day. These machines are most commonly used by Manufacturing Industry. Where in most of their traditional machine is being substituted by computerized machines, since this industry needs to produce thousands of the same products everyday. The machine will create an exact duplicate of the product. It can be used constantly 24/7 without turning off. It is usually switched off for repair and maintenance. Only o skilled technician usually supervised a multiple machines, and then usually left behind once it is already programmed to do a specific job.
The processing using the computerized machine usually takes place from creating the products design and specification by using specific software such as CAD/CAM. Some software usually simulates the idea of the manufacturer in which no prototyping is needed. The computer will then interpret the design to produce a command that is required to control the machine and lastly, the CNC machine will then manufactured it to produce an end product."
